The questions people really ask me

Before we work together, people almost always ask me the same questions. Here they are, with my answers — straightforward, and without you having to pick up the phone. If yours isn't here, write to me: I reply within 48 hours.

Ask your question

Where to start

That's the most common situation, and it's exactly what the first conversation is for. Thirty minutes, no commitment: you tell me where you stand, I tell you what I could do. If I'm not the right person, I'll tell you that too.

Contact

A conference sparks the click for everyone at once, in an hour. A workshop turns that click into reflexes, working on your real situations. Coaching extends the work with one person or a team, over time.

Most often, we start with a workshop. Sometimes with a conference — and in that case, we plan the follow-up from the outset: a conference sparks the click, the workshop turns it into a habit.

Keynotes

About an hour. That's the standard format, and it can be adjusted: shorter for a kick-off, longer if you want extra time for discussion with the audience.

There's no minimum or maximum number of participants. A meeting room or a full auditorium, the work is the same. It's also possible ito set up a hybrid format or a webinar, if your teams work remotely.

Yes. The story is mine, the mechanisms are universal, but the examples and takeaways are tailored to your situation. We discuss it beforehand.

That's the whole point. A conference sparks the click. The workshop turns it into a habit. If you want the momentum to last beyond the following Monday, we plan the follow-up from the outset.

Workshops & Journeys

Workshops

Because we don't work on textbook cases, but on your situations. Nothing is an off-the-shelf module: before the session, we scope it together and the workshop is built on that basis.

And because something can still happen afterward. We meet again to look at what held up, what got stuck, and how to adjust. A one-off workshop creates enthusiasm; a journey creates change.

In sport, nobody ever improved by just by listening to someone talking. You train repeatedly on your own weak points, you get corrected, you start again the same task taking into account the advices you received. My workshops work on that principle.

Workshops & Journeys

Between two and three hours. It's short, and that's deliberate: beyond that, attention drops and we slip back into top-down training. If your topic is broad, we build a journey over several sessions rather than one endless session.

As for the group: six people minimum, twenty maximum. The format works best with 8 to 16.

A clear reading of their current situation, and what they can put in place right away. Two or three specific commitments — not a ten-page action plan.

Methodology

Coaching

No. If your employer is funding the coaching, they know the sessions are taking place. Nothing more. What you share with me is shared with no one — not your management, not HR. When coaching is commissioned by the company, we agree together at the start on what can be reported back: objectives and progress, never what was said.

Individual and team coaching

No top athlete trains alone, and nobody sees that as a lack of strength. In business, we've held on to the idea that a good manager should figure things out on their own. I've never met anyone who made progress by staying alone with their questions.

And if the chemistry isn't there between us, the first conversation is there to find that out. Nothing obliges you to continue.

We start with an intake — the session where we map out your situation and set the objectives. We plan at least three sessions minimum. What comes next depends on what you want to achieve.

The pace is tighter at the start, then spreads out: every two to three weeks to get the work going, then once a month when you're moving forward on your own. A coaching program generally lasts two to three months. Sometimes up to six, when the goal is a deep transition. Each session lasts between an hour and a half and two hours.

No. Coaching starts from where you are and looks ahead: your goals, your decisions, the way you operate. If what you're going through calls for a different kind of support, I'll tell you and point you in the right direction.

Yes. All the information is on www.athlete360.be.

In practice

In French, Dutch and English. Including with mixed-language groups — the most common situation in Belgium.

Anywhere in Belgium, and abroad. At your premises, or off-site if you want to step outside the usual setting. For individual coaching, in person or by video call, whichever suits you. Conferences can also be held in a hybrid format or as a webinar.

Travel costs are billed separately, as are any extras — hotel, meals. They're always included in the proposal: there are never any surprises on the invoice.

Here are my ballpark figures. They vary depending on the size and type of your organization — a nonprofit, an SME and an international group don't pay the same price.

Workshop (2 to 3 hours, 6 to 20 people): from €1,850. Conference: from €1,850.

For individual coaching, the rate also depends on the level of the person being coached within the company — junior, senior or executive. A session (±1.5 hours) starts at €175 and is adjusted according to that level.

All prices exclude VAT. The first thirty-minute conversation is always free, and I send you a costed proposal before any commitment.

One exception: for conferences aimed at nonprofits and sports clubs, the offer can be found on www.athlete360.be.

During scoping, we define together what you want to see change and how we'll measure it. You walk away with indicators, not just an impression. And I provide you with what you need to present the project to your management.

There's no set lead time, and that's true for all three offerings. However, my calendar fills up several months in advance: the sooner you contact me, the larger choice of dates. If your date is already set, write to me now even if the rest isn't decided — we'll fine-tune it afterward.

For workshops and conferences: up to two weeks before the date, cancellation is free of charge. Between two weeks and one week before, 25% of the amount is billed. Less than a week before, 50%. On the day itself, 100%.

Postponing is always possible at no extra cost, depending on the situation and my availability. In practice, we almost always find a solution.

Working with me

Sport isn't my subject, it's my testing ground. Pressure, making decisions alone, failure, having to bounce back: I lived through them all at the highest level and learned to handle them. I never tell a sports story without spelling out what it concretely means for you, on Monday morning.

Experience alone wouldn't be enough — that's why I've been training since 2004 in the following areas: professional coaching, team coaching, mental coaching, stress and burnout, career coaching.

About me

Yes. If I think I'm not the right person for what you're going through, I tell you in our very first conversation.

But I don't leave you without a solution: I work with an ecosystem of coaches, each with their own expertise. If your request falls within one of their areas, I refer you to the right person.

I'm driven by impact, not by the number of dates in my calendar.

Since 2004, I've worked with more than 200 Belgian and international organizations: banking, pharmaceuticals, energy, consulting, and consumer goods groups. Nonprofits and SMEs too — the format changes, the work stays the same.
